The Dutch Coast
The Netherlands have a long coastline with wide pristine beaches surrounded by beautiful nature of dunes and forest. Zandvoort and Scheveningen have lively beach boulevards. In the North Netherlands you’ll find the Wadden Islands, with unspoiled nature, seals and special birds. You can reach these islands by ferry, but walking across the mudflats to get there is also a nice adventure.

Texel
This island is the most easily accessible from Amsterdam. 1 hour and 15 minutes by train from Amsterdam CS to Den Helder, then take the ferry (30 minutes). There are local buses on the island and there are many places where you can rent a bike.

Middelburg
The capital of the province of Zeeland and one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The most famous landmark is the Old City Hall at the central market place (Markt). And wandering through the narrow alleyways (The Kuiperspoort) with old townhouses and along the canals is like traveling back in time. Other sights are the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Abdij (Our Dear Lady Abbey), with a 207-step tower called Lange Jan, the old city gate the Koepoort, the 'Kloveniersdoelen' and the Zeeland Museum.
